  • What is carbon black
    Carbon black is carbon (mainly petroleum derivatives) after incomplete combustion of the formation of fine powder quasi graphite structure material, apparent pure black powder or granular.
    Main features
    The tinting strength, fineness and density of the product vary greatly according to the raw materials and production process. Carbon black does not dissolve in water; there are acid and alkaline points, after combustion to produce carbon dioxide. The main component of carbon black is carbon, and contains trace amounts of hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur, ash, tar and water. Widely used in coatings, paint, color paste, ink, sealant, plastic masterbatch, leather, building materials and other fields.
    Production process      
    Carbon black production process is generally furnace method, contact method (mainly for the tank method and non tank gas method) and pyrolysis method. We are using important and commonly used production processes-furnace and gas methods.
    The so-called furnace method is in the closed reaction furnace, the liquid hydrocarbon raw material (usually coal tar) is injected into the combustion of hot air and natural gas, at high temperature by thermal oxidation and decomposition, the performance of the generated carbon black can be controlled by quenching flame. The resulting pigment carbon black is then separated from the gas fumes using a filtration system. The furnace method is characterized by a wide selection of raw materials and a wide variety of properties of the carbon black produced.
    The gas method, that is, the slotless gas method, is an improved production process from the slot method. The channel method is a process in which solid hydrocarbon (crude anthracene) or liquid hydrocarbon (anthracene oil) is gasified in a gasification kettle, mixed with combustible gas (generally natural gas, coke oven gas or water gas) as raw material, sent into a fire room by an annular pipe network, burned at high temperature in the nozzle under the channel steel, and collected through the cooling surface of the channel steel to generate carbon black. The improved process of no channel steel cooling surface is not provided in the fire room by the non-groove gas method. The yield of pigment carbon black produced by this process is lower than that of furnace method, but the primary particle size is small, and it has better performance in blackness and tinting strength.

    Storage and transportation conditions
    Store in ventilated, dry warehouse. The packaging shall be sealed and moisture-proof. Avoid high temperatures and store them in isolation from acid and alkali items. According to the above storage conditions, the effective storage period of unpacked products is three years.
    First aid measures
    After inhaling the substance: Breathe fresh air immediately.
    After skin contact with the substance: Rinse with soapy water.
    If the substance is accidentally in the eye: rinse with plenty of water for 10-15 minutes.
