In general use, the heat resistance of iron oxide red is not a problem, but the general iron oxide yellow, iron oxide black and iron brown, because they contain crystal water (iron yellow) FeO (iron black) and crystal water (iron brown), they start dehydration or oxidation discoloration at 1 770C, so they cannot be used in plastics, rubber and baking coatings that need to be processed at higher temperatures.

The heat-resistant iron oxide series is synthesized by interfacial chemical reaction through dispersants, powder pigments, etc. Compared with ordinary iron oxide pigments, it has several advantages in the application process:
1. excellent anti-flocculation performance, easy dispersion, improve the stability of the dispersion;
2. good weather fastness, applied to coatings, can improve the gloss of the film, and with the change of temperature color more stability;
3. super chemical resistance, acid and alkali resistance of the product;
4. superior heat resistance, the powder particles are in a relatively stable state at high temperatures, making the product have a wider range of applications.
Heat-resistant grade iron oxide pigments are particularly suitable for automotive OEM coatings, automotive maintenance paints, coil coatings, industrial coatings, various color pastes and high gloss opacified paints, plastics, and ceramic bodies.
